My Night Time Skin Care Routine

Night Time Skin Care Loreal

I have always been a bit lazy when it comes to skin care specially in the morning. Yet, when it comes to my night time skin care routine, I follow it almost religiously. Removing my makeup is always something I have to do and that doesn’t include at all just wiping it all with a face wipe. It is definitely a bit more extensive but my skin always feels amazing afterwards so even if I am tired and all I want to do is roll to bed, I push myself to do it because it will definitely save me a lot of wrinkles in the near future.

Although my skin care doesn’t consist only in using face wipes, I can’t exclude them from my routine. They are the first step to remove any of my makeup. I am not particular by which ones I use but one of my favourites are the Nivea Visage cleansing Wipes for dry skin.

After removing the top layer of makeup using the makeup wipes, here’s where the adventure begins. I am currently loving the L’Oréal Fine Flower range (read a full post on this range here). My favourite products that I have repurchased a couple of times are the ones I actually use in this routine.

So after the wipes, I grab the L’Oréal Fine Flower Milk and either with my hands or a face cleansing brush I use  it to remove any makeup left (which normally is a lot). I clean my face with this milk by rubbing it onto my face using circular motions and then remove it with a wet cloth. It leaves my skin very soft and clean. Sometimes I do this step twice when I have a very glam makeup. If necessary, I will use a cotton pad with some of the Garnier Micellar Water as an extra step to make sure all the makeup is gone.

Once I am makeup-free, I use the L’Oréal Pure Clay Exfoliating Wash to exfoliate my skin. I normally wouldn’t do this everyday as I think that exfoliating is a bit rough on the skin but with this product they do recommend us to use it twice a day. It isn’t too aggressive on the skin and I can clearly see a difference since I started using it. My skin is much more even in texture and it has a nice, healthy glow.

I exfoliate and remove the product again with a wet cloth and I go ahead with the toner. This is my favourite part of my routine as I find it so refreshing.

As for toner, I use the L’Oréal Fine Flower Cleansing Toner. This product has soothing and comforting properties due to the blend of fine flowers. It feels great on the skin – refreshing and calming, leaving my skin free of impurities. It also removes any makeup residue that might still be there. This is also very nourishing and my skin really loves it. With having dry skin, I need to find the best products that will hydrate my skin to the maximum. I feel like the L’Oréal Fine Flower range definitely does that but now, my biggest secret is my moisturizer.

L’Oréal came, again, with an amazing skin care product maybe a couple of months ago. Yes, this is mostly L’Oréal products simply because I think they are the best when it comes to skin care with affordable prices. Anyway, let’s focus on the moisturizer: I am talking about the L’Oréal Paris Hydra Genius Aloe Water. A moisturizer inspired in Asian skin care that delivers pure moisture that penetrates quickly, deeply and continuously without overloading the skin. When I put this on my face, it feels like water. It is amazing, honestly. I have tried many other hydrating moisturizers but this one is definitely the best of the bunch. I apply it not only at night but also in the morning and it makes such a big difference. My skin has never been the same since I added this product to my routine. I also never feel the need of using a serum as this product is really so hydrating.

And with this I complete my skin care routine. It might sound like a lot of products but it only takes me 10 to 15 minutes and it is truly worth it. There is no better feeling than going to bed with a fresh, clean, moisturized face. But no routine is completed without applying some lip balm and some hand cream. I am currently enjoying the Nivea Lip Butter in Blueberry Blush and as for hand cream, the Soap and Glory Hand Food has always been my favourite.
