This is probably the highlighter I was most excited to get my hands on since I’ve heard about it’s release. Now the hype is long gone and I feel like I have worn it enough times to write something about this beautiful product here on the blog.
Anastasia Beverly Hills and Amrezy collaborated to create what is, for me, the most stunning highlighter I have ever worn. My favourite thing about it? How it suits any skin tone – and this is proved by the many reviews you find on YouTube, many of them that were shared by Amrezy herself on her Instastories or Snapchat. Isn’t it great that someone can create such an universal product that would suit almost everyone? I am impressed!
The packaging is somewhat different and makes me want to show it to everyone. Love the black with gold detail and when you open, you have a decent mirror and the beautiful highlighter. It has a beautiful glow as soon as you open it and it just looks so smooth that makes you think how it might look on the skin.
When I first swatched it, I was really impressed on how creamy it felt and not powdery at all. It swatches beautifully and so intense that I was quite cautious when applying it for the first time. When I ordered this product, I also took advantage and ordered the ABH A23 brush, the perfect brush to apply highlighter.
When you dip your brush, you don’t see any kickback and I was impressed just by that. I started with a little amount of product, afraid that it would be too much but it isn’t that kind of highlighter. This not only suits many skin tones as it also can be worn as a more natural looking highlighter and you can build the intensity up to your taste. I do love a pop of highlighter on my cheeks and I want people to notice it and I get that with this highlighter.
There’s no chunks of glitter – it is very smooth and has that wet glow effect that I love. I normally apply a first layer before using setting spray and then, spray my face with my favourite face mist or finishing spray and just before it completely dries, I apply another layer of the ABH x Amrezy Highlighter and that is where the magic happens to its fullest. It just looks absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had a picture good enough to share with you that actually showed this beautiful highlighter in action.
This has easily became my new favourite highlighter. It has a unique shade – not too gold or to champagne, it honestly goes with any eye makeup I have done since I got this. I absolutely adore how it looks on my skin – smooth and wet looking. It is so creamy that it is a joy to use.
Have you tired this highlighter? What are your thoughts on it?
*Apologies for no swatches or any picture showing how it actually applies on my skin but I haven’t been well and so makeup isn’t something I have been wearing for the past week. I should be back to normal next week or so.
