My Top 4 Everyday Lipsticks

Top 4 Everyday Lipsticks

Give me all the nude lipsticks and I will be a happy girl! I always opt for the safest options of them all on an everyday basis, specially when I am in a rush. Of course I do like a pop of colour, once in a while but these for lipsticks are my go-to’s for when I go to work or simply get ready real quick to go to town but also even when I have a date night with my partner and know that we are going to be eating so I don’t won’t to worry about lipstick too much.

I have recently added some new lipsticks to my collection, all in the pinky/mauve-nude spectrum and I have been switching between them for my everyday makeup. They have become my favourite lipsticks that always look great, go with almost every makeup look and just never do me wrong.

Everyday Nude Lipsticks

Starting from the darkest shade (same order as the swatches below), we have the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Lipstick in the shade No 80, Ruler. This one is the one go for less often but I still class it as an everyday color for when I want a bit more of a dramatic look. It has a beautiful dark pink, berry undertone and it just looks great! After that, the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in the shade No 15, Lover. Just the perfect pinky mauve lipstick and probably the one that I use the most on my work makeup days.

The Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink line is so beautiful and I honestly could have one of each. I love the consistency of the lipstick itself – very creamy, glides on easily and extremely pigmented – and it’s durability. Whilst it does slightly come off when you eat, if you want to rub it off completely and don’t have any sort of makeup remover or wipe, let me tell you that you will struggle. I tried once whilst at work and it just didn’t work so I just had to reapply and it still looked gorgeous.

The Zoeva Pure Velour Lips in Faint of Heart could be my favourite if it wasn’t for the Charlotte Tilbury one. But if we do add on the price tag, Zoeva wins and that’s probably why I wear it so much as well as the previous two: they are super affordable. This one is the most beautiful nude mauve that really suits my skin tone. Love it to bits. It is also very creamy and comfortable to wear, although not so long-lasting as the Maybelline but I don’t mind it at all. Absolutely beautiful.

Last but not least, the Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Pillow Talk – the nude of the nudes. Who hasn’t even heard about this product? If you haven’t, you must be living under a rock. It is my favourite lipstick of my collection – the packaging, the colour, the feel, the wear, everything is just great. The price, not so much. Giving twenty odd pounds for a lipstick was never my thing but I get it. You pay for the brand and the quality. I will definitely repurchase this lipstick and it will be the chosen one for my wedding so yes, I love it and I think everyone should have at least one Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in their collection. I secretly want to get them all and have a heaven of rose gold packaging lipsticks on my makeup collection. You can read more about this lipstick here: Wedding Talks #5: Your Lips But Better ft.
