Beauty Techniques I Want to Perfect

I am a true makeup lover and I might go as far as to say that I am a makeup addict. Yet, it isn’t because of that that I am a pro on everything that comes to beauty and makeup techniques.

There is always something that I want to master or perfect and I have been thinking a lot about that lately, specially after deciding that I was going to do my own wedding makeup.

So here I am sharing with you techniques I really want to improve during the next few months or this year of 2018. It would be great if you could share either some tips and tricks or products that you recommend that really help with getting a great result and making the job a bit easier!

Powder contouring is something I rarely skip on a makeup routine, no matter how basic it can be. But cream contour is something I always avoid. I have tried previously and it never worked to well, I guess I might be choosing the wrong product, tool or technique. I know that topping up powder on top of creams will make it last much longer and this is why I want to perfect the cream contour technique – I want my sharp cheekbones to last all day.

Again, I am a “full on face of makeup” kind of gal. There is no in between for me – most of the times – and for the times that I try and soften the look a bit or use less products, I just don’t feel like myself or am not happy with the end result. I think that what I need is to find the perfect CC or BB cream that perfects the complexion but still looks like skin, I am still yet to sing that perfect product and perfect routine for a “no-makeup” makeup look.

This goes along with the previous. My brows aren’t the fullest or the most perfect ones so I always feel the need to fill them in but it never looks natural or bushy (which is a look that I really like). Most of the time, they are quite strong and although I like to see me with that kind of brown, sometimes I wish I was amazing at doing a natural, feathery brow. I have done it a couple of times but I know that I still have a lot to practice and perfect. Now the question is – for a natural brow, is it best brow powder, pencil or pomade?

I love the look of a perfect drawn lip. I admire people that can adjust their lip shape my using the lip liner and either making them look fuller or even perfect the lip for a more elongate look. I have tried a few times and it just didn’t work for me. I am a no-no with that technique. Also, when using lipsticks out of the nude spectrum, it is so hard to apply it perfectly that a lip liner always comes handy.

So not only I want to perfect this little technique that makes a big difference but I also want to add a lot of lipliners to my makeup collection. Any recommendations?

And these are my four makeup techniques that I want to perfect and even master. What about you guys? Give me your best tips, tricks and products that I should try to help me in this journey.
