Today I am going to share with you a make up look that I did yesterday, inspired by Jaclyn Hill Get Ready With Me | Chit Chat Video. I didn’t have the exact shades but I tried to do something similar, thing that didn’t happen.
Anyways, this was the finish look and as I loved it, I decided to share with you. All achieved with drugstore products, which will be named and detailed at the end of this blog post.
This look was achieved simply with the one and only Iconic Pro 2 Eyeshadow Palette by Make Up Revolution. Affordable and easy to find.
As you can see, not many eye shadows are needed for this look.
♥ First of all, apply your favourite eye shadow primer so that the look can last all day. I use Focus and Fix Eye Primer by Make Up Revolution.
♥ Then, grab a fluffy brush and apply eye shadow No 1 all over the lid. This will set the eye primer and also will create a base for the next shadow that will be our transition shade. Done? Ok, ready for the next step.
♥ With a crease brush or a smaller blending brush that you have, add some of the eye shadow No 2 to your crease blending it upwards. You don’t want to have this eye shadow in your eye lid. This will be a transition shade. I love this one, it is one of my favourites in this palette.
With this done, it is time to deepen this look with the next eye shadows.
♥ With the same small blending brush as before, pop some of the eye shadow No 3 to your crease. Do not blend it upwards as much as the previous one. Try to keep it in your crease as much as you can but blend it so there is no harsh lines. This is just going to give a little bit of more dimension to the look. Then bring this eye shadow down to your lash line just in the outer corner of the eye in a “V” shape, creating that smokey eye.
The next optional step is to add the eye shadow No 4 in to the outer corner of the eye in a “V” shape again. Do this if you want to darken the look. I didn’t apply this shade but I believe it would look amazing!
♥ Finish with eye shadow No 5 applying it on your eyelid, trying not to get it to the outer corner. Blend again any harsh lines that you may have.
♥ Last but not least, grab your favourite black eye liner and do a nice winged line. No fear girl ! Go for it! Apply black eye liner on your tight line and white on your water line.
I rarely get a perfect line or winged eye liner but this time it went brilliantly and all because of my best friend : tape.
♥ Apply your favourite mascara and, if you wish, some false eyelashes. I wanted elongated my eye and for that I did apply some falsies just in the outer corner of my eye.
